FACULTY LEADERSHIP EXPERIENCE AT THE UNIVERSITY OF MINNESOTA, MORRIS

Leadership for me has always meant action and reflection, listening, framing, and solving problems, and facilitating meaningful discussion. In my journey as a junior faculty member embarking on a career in academia, to a senior faculty leader, I never felt constrained by my title or my job description, I simply took the lead. What follows is a list of governance committees and task forces that I chaired or was a member. While a list cannot tell the story of my personal leadership experiences with shared governance and faculty governance, it does illustrate my commitment to and belief in effective shared governance.
